Course objective:

The aim of the course is to prepare delegates for work in the wind industry as well as various random situations related to it.

Working at Height - Module 4 in accordance with the latest GWO Basic Safety Training standard.

Working at Height is one of the BST modules which, according to the GWO standard, must be completed by every person who associates their professional future with the wind industry.

During the two-day training, the student is familiarized with international standards that must be met by fall protection equipment, how to identify these standards and the type of equipment used to work at height. Delegate also practices techniques used during emergency evacuation.

The lecture also deals with the topic of hanging shock, first aid in case of its occurrence, and self-rescue techniques are discussed.

In the time-consuming practical part of the training, participants have the opportunity to practice previously discussed issues. They are familiarized with methods of safe movement on ladders and exposures, methods of safe evacuation from wind turbines using available evacuation devices and they implement a number of scenarios involving the evacuation of an injured person from a ladder.
