- Registration in the Global Wind Industry (GWO) training records database, known as WINDA.

The database allows employers and training providers to verify your qualifications.

Validity Extension
The certificate is valid for 2 years. Before the expiration date, the GWO Working At Height Refresher course must be taken to keep the credentials valid.

Who is the Course Aimed At?

This course is designed for individuals working in the onshore and offshore wind industry or related fields, particularly those involved in working at height. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical training to prepare participants for the unique challenges of these work environments.

Training Description

This course provides comprehensive training for safely working at height using industrial access equipment. The training includes both discussion and practical exercises, such as use of fall protection equipment, evacuation procedures with rescue equipment and scenarios involving the rescue of an injured person from a ladder.

Course Goal

The goal of this course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to work safely and responsibly in challenging environments. This includes the ability to identify and minimize risks, properly use personal protective equipment, and perform emergency procedures to protect themselves and their colleagues.

GWO Working at Height (WAH) Certificate

Confirmation of Course Completion

The training completion information will be entered as a new record in the GWO WINDA database. This allows employers to easily verify the credentials of their employees, helping to maintain high safety standards in the industry. Participants can also easily prove their qualifications globally without needing to carry paper certificates.

Please note that some companies may require additional or specialized certification to meet their internal competency standards. Vulcan Training strongly recommends checking specific competency or training requirements with the operator before booking a course. Occupational medicine conducted by our Center includes the prevention of occupational diseases for seafarers, wind turbine technicians, and other professions or specializations. The examinations will determine if the delegates have any health contraindications that would prevent them from performing tasks in a specified position.
