Target Group:

Refreshing and enabling course to maintain the qualifications acquired during the OPITO BOSIET training. Dedicated to people working in the oil and gas industry at sea (e.g. on drilling or mining platforms), which ends the validity of licenses: OPITO BOSIET, OPITO BOSIET (with CA-EBS), OPITO T-BOSIET or OPITO FOET, OPITO FOET ( from CA-EBS), OPITO T-FOET.

Course objective:

The aim of the course is to refresh basic knowledge about safety requirements and rules to be observed at offshore installations and during transport before and during helicopter flight.

Description:

The course includes most of the practical elements that the delegate has already had the opportunity to practice during the BOSIET training, i.e. pool exercises in the HUET simulator; remembering the rules prevailing at the airfield and during normal helicopter flight; individual rescue techniques, first aid and exercises at the training ground.

Unlike the OPITO BOSIET training (with CA-EBS), it does not have a "safety induction" module, and theoretical sessions are shortened to a minimum for practical sessions.

Qualifications obtained:

• Knowledge of rules and procedures during helicopter transport to and from offshore installations, and the ability to evacuate it in an emergency.

• Ability to provide first aid in life-threatening situations.

• Ability to use basic fire fighting equipment.

• Ability to evacuate from smoky spaces.

Confirmation of course implementation:

Certificate approved by the international organization OPITO.

Please note that certain companies may require specific or additional certification to meet their internal competency requirements. Vulcan Training strongly advises to check the competency/training requirements with your operator prior to booking the course with Vulcan. Vulcan can advise on general certification required in specific geographic regions,  but there may be additional training requirements according to local or company internal guidelines.

Extension of validity:

The course is valid for 4 years. Before the expiry of the deadline, to maintain the validity of acquired rights, you must take the OPITO FOET course with the module on the use of CA-EBS.
