Who is the Course Aimed At?

This course is designed for individuals working in the offshore oil & gas industry whose following certificates are expiring: OPITO-approved BOSIET (with CA-EBS), BOSIET(with EBS), DIGITAL BOSIET (with CA-EBS), TBOSIET, FOET (with CA-EBS), FOET(with EBS) or T-FOET certificate.

Course Goal:

The goal of this course is to refresh basic knowledge regarding requirements and safety regulations needed on oil & gas installations and during helicopter transfer.

Training Description:

The course covers most practical elements previously practiced during BOSIET training, including pool exercises in the HUET simulator, refresher of the safety procedures on helipads and during helicopter transfer, individual rescue techniques, first aid, and practical session on the fire training ground.

Unlike the OPITO BOSIET training (with CA-EBS), FOET (with CA-EBS) does not include the "safety induction" module, and features minimized theoretical sessions in favor of more practical exercises.

Qualifications Obtained:

- Understanding the principles and procedures for helicopter transport to offshore installations, including the ability to evacuate in emergency situations

- Providing first aid in life-threatening situations

- Operating basic firefighting equipment

- Evacuation skills from smoke-filled spaces

Course Completion Confirmation:

Upon successful completion, delegates will receive a certificate approved by the international organization OPITO authorizing them to work on offshore installations in the oil & gas industry.
