Course description

The refresher training Working at Heights deals with the rules of using the equipment 
to protect against falling from a height and the evacuation of a wind turbine.
Practical exercises are conducted using the basic Personal Protection Measures
(harnesses, lanyards, helmets, etc.). Each participant uses the equipment assigned
to him by the instructor. In addition, it has the ability to work with safety systems,
learns the correct positioning at the workplace and the use of security systems.
The student also gets acquainted with the evacuation and rescue techniques
on the wind turbine.

Target group
The training is intended for people who work at heights on wind turbines.
Weight below 150kg
In the case of BSTR, it is necessary to have a valid BST or BSTR training
Training program:
• Legislation on working at heights
• Fall protection methods
• Protective systems and their efficient use
• Threats associated with working at heights
• Evacuation materials
• Appropriate ways to check protective clothing (PPE), eg harness, helmets and ropes
• Protection of other people against hazards in a wind farm
• Medical care at level 0
WINDA is a global database used by the Global Wind Organization (GWO). 
The WINDA will enable verification of trainings for training providers and employers.
Delegates will have personal access to the training records in WINDA.
After completing the training, the Vulcan Training Center will send a digital GWO certificate record to WINDA. 
We are not able to issue electronic certificates without the WINDA identifier.

Please note that certain companies may require specific or additional certification to meet their internal competency requirements. Vulcan Training strongly advises to check the competency/training requirements with your operator prior to booking the course with Vulcan. Vulcan can advise on general certification required in specific geographic regions,  but there may be additional training requirements according to local or company internal guidelines.
The competencies of the delegates will be assessed based on the elements of the training.
The competence assessment of the subject is conducted by the instructor by asking questions, 
observation and by using the form of the control measure.
The validity of BST training is 24 months.
Refresher training - to be valid, delegates must attend the GWO WAHR course again before the certificate expires.
