Course description
- Valid OPITO OERTM Initial Training Certificate or OPITO OERTM Further Certificate.
- Completion of the medical questionnaire provided during the training.
- Valid identity document
Certificate OERTL is valid for 2 years. To keep and extend the validity of the certificate it is necessary to complete the OERTL Further course.
Who is the Course Aimed At?
This training is designed for individuals who are currently or will be appointed as Offshore Emergency Response Team Leader.
Course Goal
The goal of the course is to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to effectively perform the role of an Emergency Response Team Leader.
Training Description
The training covers both theoretical and practical aspects of emergency response. Participants will learn how to control and minimize the impact of incidents at sea.
Qualifications Obtained
- Effectively commanding a rescue team during offshore emergency situations.
- Planning, organizing and coordinating rescue operations.
- Assessing emergency situations and making decisions under time pressure.
- Communication and cooperation with other crew members and rescue teams.
- Practicing first aid and CPR skills.
- Applying evacuation and rescue procedures according to current standards.
- Safe use of rescue and safety equipment.
- Managing stress and maintaining calm in emergency situations.
- Conducting emergency response drills and training.
- Knowledge of regulations and procedures related to safety on oil platforms.
Confirmation of Course Completion
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate approved by the international organization OPITO, which authorizes them to work on offshore installations in the oil and gas industry.
