No entry requirements.
Valid Identity document.
The certificate is valid for 2 years and 8 months. Before the expiration date,it is necessary to either retake the OPITO Rigger Initial Training course or, after completing tasks from the Rigger Competence Logbook, proceed to the next level by taking the OPITO Rigger Competence Assessment to keep the credentials valid.
As of March 1, 2022, OPITO updated the training nomenclature:
Stage 1 - Initial Training
Stage 3 - Assessment
Stage 4 - Reassessment
Who is the Course Aimed At?
This course is designed for individuals seeking to work as Riggers, particularly those with little experience or training in lifting operations.
Course Goal
The goal of this course is to prepare delegates for safe work as Riggers. Participants will acquire knowledge and practical skills needed for lifting operations, particularly in attaching, securing, and moving various types of loads, as well as safety principles that must be followed while performing the tasks.
Training Description:
To successfully complete the initial training program, delegates must fulfill all learning requirements in two units:
Unit 1: Role of a Rigger and Introduction to Lifting and Moving Operations;
Unit 2: Lifting, Moving, and Securing Operations.
Course Completion Confirmation:
This certificate is approved by the international organization OPITO.
