Course description
Learners must possess a valid BOSIET/FOET/HUET/T-BOSIET/T-FOET/T-HUET (or Industry agreed equivalent) certificate prior to attending the OPITO Dry Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment Training programme.
The Dry Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) Initial Deployment Training certificate is valid for 4 years.
It is recommended that training be revalidated with the appropriate OPITO Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) with CA-EBS certificate upon expiry of their current BOSIET or FOET Certificate.
Who is the Product for?
This product is for personnel that are issued with Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) whilst travelling to work by helicopter and may be required to use a CA-EBS in the event of an emergency.
Course Contents:
The rationale and use of compressed air emergency breathing systems in helicopter emergency situations, including the fundamental differences between re-breather and compressed air systems (technology and use)
The hazards associated with compressed air emergency breathing systems
Use of the Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS)
Qualifications obtained
Learners will received OPITO approved certification after completion.
