Dedicated course:

Dedicated to people performing work related to exposure to hydrogen sulfide - H2S, in places where, in the event of organic tissue decomposition, it may occur, i.e.

• closed spaces,

• on oil and gas deposits,

• in the sewers,

• at wells,

• in sewage treatment plants.

 

Course objective:

The aim of the course is to acquire basic knowledge about safety principles when working in an environment where exposure to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is possible.

 

Description:

Training participants gain knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of gas, including its toxic, explosive and corrosive effects. They learn how to deal with poisoning and how to prevent it. They practice practicing emergency response and evacuation using escape sets and connecting it to a cascade system at a meeting point.

 

Qualifications obtained:

● Knowledge of the physical and chemical properties of hydrogen sulfide.

● What to do if the H2S concentration in the air increases.

● Procedure in case of poisoning.

● Knowledge of the types of evacuation sets and personal protective equipment and how to use them;

● Knowledge about the types of H2S concentration monitoring devices and how to use them correctly;

 

Confirmation of course implementation:

Certificate approved by the international organization OPITO.

Extension of validity:

The course is valid for 2 years. Before the deadline expires, you must refresh the BASIC H2S TRAINING course to maintain your eligibility.
