To participate in the course, you must register in the Global Wind Industry (GWO) training records database, known as WINDA. The database allows employers and training providers to verify your qualifications.
Before attending the course, please visit winda.globalwindsafety.org to create your personal profile and obtain your individual WINDA ID.
Valid identity document.
The GWO Lift User certificate is issued for an indefinite period.
Who is the Course Aimed At?
Individuals who will be working on wind turbines in the wind industry, specifically where the use of a service lift is required to transport both people and equipment within the turbine.
Course Goal
The goal of this course is to enable participants to safely and correctly use a service lift inside a wind turbine. The training will provide knowledge of the various systems and types of service lifts used in the wind energy industry. Additionally, participants will be trained to perform necessary inspections of the lifts before use and to handle emergency situations that may arise during daily operations.
Training Description
The GWO Service Lift User training combines both theoretical and practical elements, focusing on equipping wind turbine technicians with the knowledge and skills needed to operate and evacuate a service lift within a wind turbine. The training covers theoretical aspects of various types of lifts.

Confirmation of Course Completion
The training completion information will be entered as a new record in the GWO WINDA database. This allows employers to easily verify the credentials of their employees, helping to maintain high safety standards in the industry. Participants can also easily prove their qualifications globally without needing to carry paper certificates.
