- Completion of the theoretical part of the online part of the training is required before attending the practical part at the training center.

The GWO Sea Survival (SS) certificate is valid for 2 years. Before the expiration date, you must complete the GWO Sea Survival Refresher course to keep the credentials valid.
Who is the Course Aimed At?
This course is designed for individuals working in the offshore wind industry or related fields, with a focus on offshore operations. The training covers theoretical and practical elements to prepare participants for the specific challenges of those work environments.
Training Description
This course provides both theoretical and practical knowledge of offshore personnel transfer and emergency response or operations aboard vessels and wind turbines located offshore. The theoretical part of the course covers hazards and the control measures used in the wind industry. In the practical part, which takes place in the swimming pool, participants apply the knowledge they have gained by practicing transfer and evacuation procedures, as well as techniques to increase their chances of survival at sea.
Course Goal
The goal of this course is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to work safely and responsibly in various challenging environments. This includes the ability to identify and minimize risks, properly use personal protective equipment, and efficiently perform emergency procedures to protect themselves and others in their environment.
Qualifications Obtained
GWO Sea Survival (SS) Certificate.
Confirmation of Course Completion
The training completion information will be entered as a new record in the GWO WINDA database. This allows employers to easily verify the credentials of their employees, helping to maintain high safety standards in the industry. Participants can also easily prove their qualifications globally without needing to carry paper certificates.
