Registering in the GWO WINDA database - lifta.globalwindsafety.org/ and obtaining a WINDA ID.

GWO WINDA is a global database maintained by the Global Wind Organization (GWO). The database allows employers and training providers to verify your qualifications.

After booking, you will need to register in the GWO WINDA database and create a personal profile before attending a course. Once registered, you will be assigned an individual WINDA ID.

What should the delegate bring?
Valid identity document.

Validity Extension
The certificate is valid for 2 years. Before the expiration date, the GWO Manual Handling Refresher (MHR) course must be taken to keep the credentials valid.

Who is the Course Aimed At?

This course is designed for individuals working in the onshore and offshore wind industry or related fields, with a focus on safe manual handling. The training combines theoretical and practical components to ensure full preparation for the unique challenges of such work environments.

Training Description

This course provides basic knowledge of safe manual labor, particularly focusing on load handling, use of hand tools, and performing work in constrained positions, along with associated hazards. Participants will learn methods of dynamic risk assessment and apply these methods through simulation scenarios.

Course Goal

The goal of this course is to equip participants with knowledge and skills to work safely and responsibly in challenging environments. This includes the ability to identify and minimize risks, properly use personal protective equipment, and perform emergency procedures to protect themselves and their colleagues.

GWO Manual Handling (MH) Certificate.

Confirmation of Course Completion

The training completion information will be entered as a new record in the GWO WINDA database. This allows employers to easily verify the credentials of their employees, helping to maintain high safety standards in the industry. Participants can also easily prove their qualifications globally without needing to carry paper certificates.

Please note that some companies may require additional or specialized certification to meet their internal competency standards. Occupational medicine conducted by our Center includes the prevention of occupational diseases for seafarers, wind turbine technicians, and other professions or specializations. The examinations will determine if the delegates have any health contraindications that would prevent them from performing tasks in a specified position.
