Training Description
This combined course covers the following GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT) modules: Electrical (BTTE), Hydraulics (BTTH), Mechanical (BTTM) and Bolt Tightening (BTTB) providing participants with a comprehensive foundation in these technical areas.

1) Electrical (BTTE)
Provides participants with an introduction to electrical issues. Builds awareness of safety rules, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Allows the participant to identify the various components of an electrical system and understand their role. In practical terms, it gives the basics of interpreting simple schematics, assembling circuits and using measuring tools safely and correctly.
2) Hydraulics (BTTH)
This course provides an introduction to hydraulics, focusing on the awareness of essential safety rules and the proper use of personal protective equipment. Participants will learn how to identify various components of a hydraulic system and understand their functions. The course also covers the basics of interpreting simple hydraulic diagrams, assembling hoses, and correct and safe usage of measuring tools.
3) Mechanical (BTTM)
This module introduces the basics of mechanics, focusing on the awareness of essential safety rules and the proper use of personal protective equipment. Participants will learn how to identify various components of a mechanical system and their functions in a wind turbine. The course covers the basics of bolted and welded connections, their inspection techniques, and the basics of inspecting and maintaining key mechanical systems, including gearbox, braking systems, yaw system, cooling systems and lubrication. Participants will also gain experience in using hand and measuring tools.
4) Bolt Tightening (BTTB)
This module introduces bolt tightening training, focusing on the awareness of essential safety rules and the proper use of personal protective equipment. The participants will learn proper bolting principles, inspection techniques and the basics of using hand, electric and hydraulic tools for bolt tightening in the wind industry.

Course Goal
The goal of the course is to equip participants with the basic technical knowledge necessary to perform tasks related to the construction and servicing of wind turbines.

Qualifications obtained
- GWO Basic Technical Training Mechanical (BTTM) Certificate
- GWO Basic Technical Training Electrical (BTTE) Certificate
- GWO Basic Technical Training Hydraulics (BTTH) Certificate
- GWO Basic Technical Training Bolt Tightening (BTTB) Certificate

Confirmation of Course Completion
The training completion information will be entered as a new record in the GWO WINDA database. This allows employers to easily verify the credentials of their employees, helping to maintain high safety standards in the industry. Participants can also easily prove their qualifications globally without needing to carry paper certificates.

Please note that some companies may require additional or specialized certification to meet their internal competency standards. Vulcan Training strongly recommends checking specific competency or training requirements with the operator before booking a course. While Vulcan can provide guidance on general certification requirements for various geographic regions, additional training may be necessary based on local or company-specific guidelines.
