Who is the Course Aimed At?
This course is designed for individuals working in the wind industry who are required to undertake rescue operations using procedures that go beyond basic first aid and involve extensive medical equipment.
Training Description
The Enhanced First Aid training provides participants with essential knowledge and skills to deliver first aid in life-threatening situations such as massive hemorrhage, sudden cardiac arrest, trauma and other medical emergencies. Participants will learn communication and teleconsultation (remote medical consultation) procedures, as well as how to use the equipment necessary for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with airway management, supplying oxygen and using an AED. Practical scenarios will prepare participants to provide first aid in prolonged rescue operations and address the specific challenges of wind turbines located both onshore and offshore.
Course Goal
The goal of this course is to equip participants with knowledge and skills to work safely and responsibly in various challenging environments. This includes the ability to identify and minimize risks, properly use personal protective equipment, and efficiently perform emergency procedures to protect themselves and others in their environment.

Confirmation of Course Completion
The training completion information will be entered as a new record in the GWO WINDA database. This allows employers to easily verify the credentials of their employees, helping to maintain high safety standards in the industry. Participants can also easily prove their qualifications globally without needing to carry paper certificates.
