Course description
The training has no prerequisites.
- Valid medical certificate
- Valid identity card
- Swimwear, flip-flops and a towel
- A change of socks
The certificate is valid for 4 years. Before the expiry date, CA-EBS training must be retaken to keep the acquired certification valid.
Who is the Course Aimed At?
To employees who travel by helicopter over bodies of water.
Course goal
The aim of the course is to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge to prepare participants to use an emergency compressed air breathing system safely in the event of an emergency.
Description
The course provides delegates with the relevant knowledge necessary to use the CA-EBS (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System) correctly and safely. During the theoretical part of the training, delegates will have the opportunity to learn about the construction of the system, understand how it works, how to activate it, as well as the dangers of using the system incorrectly. The course will conclude with a practical exercise in a swimming pool to provide delegates with the skills necessary to use the CA-EBS system.
Qualifications obtained
Participants gain the knowledge needed to use a compressed air breathing system safely, familiarize themselves with situations in which the equipment may be needed and practice in the area of correct use of the apparatus to save lives.
From 01.01.2015. The UK introduced the use of Category A- Emergency Breathing System (CA-EBS) during helicopter transport. As such, there was a need to impart knowledge and skills in the use of this type of equipment.
