QHSE Coordinator

We are a leading provider of safety training. Due to our continuous growth, we are looking for a QHSE Coordinator to join our team.

 

Job Description:

The main role of the QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment) Coordinator at Vulcan Training & Consultancy is to ensure the maintenance of the company’s management systems, supervise audit plans, and support effective and timely resolution of issues. The Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving systems and procedures to enhance the company’s quality and efficiency. This includes developing, delivering, and managing occupational health and safety training, ensuring the safety of both trainees and staff, and keeping procedures and emergency response plans up to date. This position is based mainly in the office, but due to audit-related duties, work may be required across various internal and external sites on company premises. Depending on organizational needs, occasional overtime, weekend, or travel work may be required. Full-time employment (40 hours/week). Start date: to be agreed upon.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, implement, review, and improve safety culture, systems, procedures, and policies in the QHSE area.
  • Ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of the QHSEMS (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment Management System).
  • Conduct ongoing reviews, audits, and implementations of the Management System to ensure compliance with regulations and accrediting bodies such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, OPITO, GWO, IRATA, and IOSH.
  • Organize mandatory health and safety training for staff as required.
  • Maintain and update QHSE documentation.
  • Report and analyze customer complaints and supplier non-conformities.
  • Ensure that non-conformities, incidents, and near-misses are investigated, and corrective actions are identified and implemented.
  • Plan and conduct risk assessments and internal audits.
  • Identify QHSE-related training needs across all activities and advise senior management on priorities and options.
  • Develop and implement QHSE procedures and policies as needed.
  • Communicate QHSE information internally and externally in accordance with requirements.
  • Inform and report to senior management regarding operational, safety, or welfare non-conformities and deliver training programs according to defined standards and equipment or competency requirements.
  • Ensure risk assessments are conducted, reviewed, maintained, and that appropriate control measures are implemented.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Carry out all other duties assigned by management.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in a QHSE position or a similar role.
  • Internal or Lead Auditor certification and understanding of management systems, auditing methods, standards, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of H&S regulations and standards, particularly ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
  • Communicative level of English.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge and/or experience with GWO / OPITO / STCW training standards.
  • Health & Safety qualifications such as Senior H&S Inspector or higher, IOSH or NEBOSH certification.

 

We Offer:

  • Full-time employment contract.
  • Monthly gross salary: PLN 8,000 – 13,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Workplace: Rumia, Pomeranian Voivodeship
  • Initial training period of 6 months in Szczecin to prepare for full duties.
