We are a leading provider of safety training. Due to our continued growth, we are currently looking for an Advanced OPITO & STCW Training Instructor, specializing in the following courses: HERTM, HERTL, OERTM, OERTL, HOIT, Basic Firefighting and Advanced Firefighting.
Job Description
The Instructor will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training in accordance with OPITO and STCW standards. The courses prepare participants for roles on offshore platforms, including helideck operations and emergency response.
Training is delivered in realistic simulated conditions, including smoke-filled environments, working at height and the use of breathing apparatus. The role requires a strong focus on participant safety throughout all training activities.
We are recruiting both instructors who can deliver individual courses and candidates able to cover the full training package. If you do not yet have instructor experience, we provide individual support in obtaining the required qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Deliver theoretical training in accordance with OPITO and STCW standards.
- Conduct practical exercises in simulated training environments.
- Assess participants' competencies in accordance with applicable standards.
- Prepare and update training materials.
- Prepare training areas and equipment before each session.
- Support the delivery of other training courses at the centre.
Requirements
- English language skills at a communicative level (B2/C1).
And
- Documented experience in firefighting / emergency response as a fire team leader or incident commander.*
Due to accreditation requirements, the instructor's professional experience is subject to individual assessment during further stages of the recruitment process.
Or
- Documented experience in firefighting / emergency response as a fire team leader or incident commander, with particular experience in firefighting operations at airports and helidecks during helicopter operations.*
Due to accreditation requirements, the instructor's professional experience is subject to individual assessment during further stages of the recruitment process.
Or
- Documented professional experience in offshore helicopter operations.*
Due to accreditation requirements, the instructor's professional experience is subject to individual assessment during further stages of the recruitment process.
And
- Qualifications in adult education or assessor qualifications.
